September 2026 Gradings: Your Next Step Begins Now!
Our next TKBA grading weekend takes place this September, giving eligible students across our programmes the opportunity to demonstrate their progress and take another important step in their martial arts journey.
September Grading Dates
A New Way to Celebrate Your Achievement
Beginning with these September gradings, results will no longer be announced on the day.
Instead, we will hold a special Belt Graduation Evening approximately two weeks after each grading period. Successful students will receive their results and be formally presented with their new belts in front of their teammates, coaches, parents, family and friends.
We believe progressing to a new belt deserves more than a quick presentation at the end of a grading.
Our new graduation evenings will give every successful student the opportunity to properly celebrate their achievement, reflect on how far they have come and share that important moment with the people who have supported them.
This also means that TKBA will now hold four Belt Graduation Evenings each year, alongside our annual Christmas Party and Awards Celebration Evening—creating even more opportunities to recognise progress, commitment and achievement throughout the academy.
Further information and the date of the September Belt Graduation Evening will be shared nearer the time.
Time to Get Focused
For anyone hoping to receive a grading invitation, now is the time to sharpen your focus.
Attend your classes consistently, practise the areas you find challenging and ask your coaches whenever you need help.
Gradings are not about being perfect—they are an opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge, effort, improvement and ability to keep going when things become difficult.
Small improvements made during every class can make a big difference by grading day.
Your Syllabus Is Always Available
Remember that the complete syllabus for every TKBA age group and programme is always available through your Member Portal.
You can view the syllabus online or download it directly to your phone, making it easy to check techniques and practise wherever you are.
If you are unsure which areas you should concentrate on, please speak to one of the coaching team. We are here to help you prepare, build your confidence and arrive at your grading ready to give your very best.
Stay consistent. Stay focused. Keep progressing.
